Android Jelly Bean becomes most Popular Version
Now according to Google the Android Jelly Bean has more market share any other Android Version which shows the public trust over Jelly bean updates. The Jelly Bean updates starts from Android 4.1 and Android 4.3 is the latest update to Jelly Bean version.
According to the Google, the Jelly Bean has a market share of 52.1% in all Android active devices while the Gingerbread has the 26% market share which makes Android Gingerbread. The Ice Cream Sandwich has less than 20% market share. The remaining part is divided into Froyo, Honeycomb, Cupcake and Donut.
Android OS Versions gave tough time to its competitors and the brands of their time like Apple and Nokia lost a big market share.

At I/O Conference, Google introduced the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on 27th of the June 2012. The update came with updates with main focus on improving the functionally and better UI. The Nexus 7 was the first ever device with on which Android 4.1 runs.

The release of Android KitKat 4.4 will indeed effect the statistics as the it came with more new features and tweaks to it while Google is planning to introduce the Android KitKat with low requirement even with 512 MB of RAM.
